Our Team
We first met during our first year at Teesside University in 2022. As we progressed through the course, we were placed in the same small group for our final clinical placement year at the university’s in-house chiropractic clinic. Over those 12 months of treating patients together, we developed the idea of opening our own clinic immediately after graduating.
Starting a clinic straight out of university is not the typical path for new graduates, but the more we discussed it, the more confident we became that it was the right decision. We signed the lease for a rented office in March, although we had to wait a few months before receiving the keys. During that time, we pushed through the final — and most demanding — months of our studies.
In June, we finally received the keys and began planning. We’re excited to announce that our clinic is scheduled to open in August 2026.
Abigail Bloomfield
Chiropractor
Hi, I’m Abigail, a Chiropractor and Co-founder of Castle Eden Chiropractic.
My journey into chiropractic wasn’t a traditional one. Before starting university, I had never visited a chiropractor myself and knew very little about what chiropractic care involved. However, throughout my time at Teesside University, I developed not only the knowledge and skills required to become a chiropractor but also a genuine appreciation for the positive impact that high-quality, patient-centred care can have on people’s lives.
During my studies, I had the privilege of learning from experienced chiropractors who helped shape me into a confident and compassionate practitioner. My clinical placements introduced me to patients from a wide range of backgrounds, each with their own unique experiences, conditions and goals. These experiences reinforced that no two patients are the same, and that effective care always begins with listening, understanding and building trust. Often, taking the time to truly understand someone is just as important as the treatment itself.
I believe every patient deserves to feel heard, respected and actively involved in their care. My goal is to create a welcoming and supportive environment where you feel comfortable, informed and confident throughout your recovery. I am committed to continuing my professional development, ensuring I provide the highest standard of evidence-based care as I grow alongside the profession.
I look forward to welcoming you to Castle Eden Chiropractic and supporting you on your journey towards better health.
Todd Wilkinson
Hi, I'm Todd, a graduate of Teesside University and Co-Founder of Castle Eden Chiropractic. I'm passionate about helping people live healthier lives and become the best version of themselves through high-quality chiropractic care.
My journey into chiropractic began after a serious football injury when I tore my ACL. The injury led to a year-long rehabilitation before I could return to playing the sport I love. Throughout that process, I experienced the physical and mental challenges that often come with recovery. It gave me a first-hand understanding of what many patients go through and sparked a real passion for musculoskeletal health, rehabilitation, and injury prevention.
Looking back, what initially felt like a setback became a turning point. It inspired me to pursue a career in healthcare, and chiropractic was the perfect fit. I knew I wanted to help others overcome pain, recover from injury, and return to doing the things they enjoy.
My goal is to help people of all ages and backgrounds reach their full potential. I believe that to be the best version of yourself, you need to feel your best. Every treatment plan I provide is tailored to your individual needs, lifestyle, and goals. Rather than simply treating symptoms, I focus on identifying and addressing the underlying cause of your problem to help you achieve lasting results and reduce the risk of future issues.
A key part of my approach is education. I believe that understanding your diagnosis empowers you to take control of your recovery. By explaining what is causing your symptoms and providing practical advice alongside treatment, you can make informed decisions about your health and play an active role in your long-term wellbeing. My aim is to help you spend less time on the treatment table and more time doing the activities you love.
Outside of the clinic, you'll usually find me playing football, weight training, or out on a run. I'm passionate about staying active and enjoy helping others continue doing the sports and activities they love too.
Whether you're recovering from a recent injury, struggling with persistent pain, or simply looking to move better and improve your quality of life, I'd love to help you on your journey to better health.
